MITSUWA 1/20 Willys Jeep MB

..I managed to acquire this rare model kit from EBay last year..it cost me almost RM120...but I really thinks it was a bargain...for a 1/20 scale model..the Jeep is huge!! very detail parts but the instructions is in Japanese!!..well..we modellers rely on pics and numbers right??...so..here it goes...Project Start Date: 7 Sept 2010.........As usual, pictorial references are most useful when building a model.....a little search here and there in the internet will be helpful...
...the parts are very well molded and made of hard plastic...I never heard of MITSUWA before...so I was surprised to find out that they produced a large scale of Willys Jeep MB that were widely used during WW2...one thing to remember when building large scale models...the details will be more obvious and more realism can be added..I will try my best for this one....
...notice the raised ejection marks on the parts...I scrapped it will No 11 blade and later smoothen it using sand paper...
...after sanding and cleaning, the ejection marks will dissappear and this will add realism to your model later..
...plastic cloth pegs used to keep the parts in place after glue applied...and free your hands to do anything else..

....I usually pre-painted the parts before attaching it..after several dry fittings to make sure it is glued correctly and make necessary adjustment...above is the underside of the jeep pre-painted with Flat Black (HUMBROL Matt 33) color....the Jeep chasis, axles and all the undercarriage parts attached...I painted Flat Black........the engine after assembly of all the accessories, I painted overall Flat Metal (Humbrol 53) color...have to wait for it to thoroughly dry, afterwards I will paint the engine part accessories seperately and attached several wires to make it look real.....

...the engine itself after I added ignition wires, solenoid wire and some hydraulic lines...afterward some blackwash to add realism...looks convincing enough...............the engine picture I got from the internet used as my reference....compare this to the engine model I scratchbuild below.................I used 0.6-0.8 diameter wires and some soldering lead to make the wiring on the engine..

....body paint job in progress..primer painted............the trailer also being painted at the same time..........the headlights...to add realism, I insert aluminium foil in the headlights assembly...

1/24 Tamiya Alpine A110 1600SC

My brother asked me to build this model for him...so...here it is........the picture of the real vehicle from internet as my references...engine, interior, body..etc.....the assembled and painted interior of the model..use your own imagination of whatever color you wanted for the interior as long as it looks realistic...here I chosen to color the seat leather and light drab for the floor......the chasis underside after assembled...a little more flat black will correct the model...and dry-brushed to show the details..........door panels...once again..up to your imaginantion.............the seat itself...after painting, the lines were painted with a darker color to show the details......the driver compartment..dashboard, steering wheels, brakes and gear shift...dry-brushed to make the details came out...afterward everything will be airbrushed with Future......the NICEST part!!...jeng-jeng-jeng!!...the OOB engine look dull and empty...so I added wires to make the spark plug wire, little black tube for the radiator,...and made a battery complete with wires...note also the brake fluid cap...a little black thinned black paint and dry-brushed will make the engine look almost real.......the body shell mounted for the paintjob..airbrushed with primer and awaiting drying time...no hurry or your model will not turn out very well..........the sport rims..painted individually...........using self adhesive aluminium foil, I made the chrome lining on the windshields....and also on the car bonnet and doors......,,,,the almost finish model...need a little more touch up here and there..

Finally..managed to finish an order for this aircraft...sorry it took me almost 4 months due to unavoidable tasks that have to be finished...

Alouette III

FUJIMI telah menghasilkan semula model 1/48 Alouette III di pasaran sekarang. So far, I have acquired 3 models of Alouette III and 1 dia cast scale 1/50 ....
....dua model di atas adalah scale 1/48 yang dikeluarkan oleh FUJIMI...
...yang ini adalah model Alouette die cast scale 1/50..order dari Perancis, keluaran VEREM........Tentera Darat Malaysia pernah memiliki sebanyak 10 buah Alouette III dari tahun 1995 sehingga 2007 sebelum digantikan dengan pesawat Agusta A 109 LOH sekarang. Bagi projek seterusnya saya bercadang untuk membuat model Alouette III TD seperti di atas........ruangan kokpit pesawat dibina straight dari kotak........frame model selepas assemble...kena tutup beberapa lubang kecik dan lebihan plastik kena trim..lepas tu trim cantuman supaya kemas.......bahagian hadapan model ni semuanya clear plastik, so be careful la...sebelum tu sy celup clear parts dalam Future untuk nampak lebih clear dan macam cermin..satu lagi agar senang cantum...

Projek TLDM Super Lynx

Model Agusta Westland Super Lynx scale 1/72, secara kasar panjangnya sejengkal aje..
Seperti yang dapat dilihat dalam kedua2 gambar ni, TLDM ada dua version Super Lynx..model Trumpeteer ada kedua2 versi seperti dalam gambar.
..yang in dilengkapi FLIR di depannya...Projek akan datang ni saya akan buat kedua2 versi pesawat TLDM KD Rajawali ni...bersambung nanti
